Distillation & Rectification

Distillation & Rectification plants are widely used for separating the component substances from a liquid mixture by selective evaporation and condensation.

3V Tech designs and supplies tailor-made distillation & rectification plants, which can be arranged as skid-mounted units or suitable systems for on-site installation.

Typical applications
  • Separation of compounds mixtures
  • Solvent recovery from process or waste streams
  • Stripping of component from process or waste streams

Column types

3V Tech's distillation & rectification systems, operating under vacuum, at atmospheric condition, or in pressure, optimally use the following column types, depending on the application:

Reboiler types
3V Tech's distillation & rectification systems optimally use the following reboiler types, depending on the application:
  • Falling film reboilers FFE
  • Forced circulation reboilers FCE
  • Thin/Wiped film reboilers TFE

Depending on the application, our reboilers are fabricated with proper alloy or high quality glass-lined for highly corrosive applications.

Energy saving & plant arrangement
According to the requirements, 3V Tech designs the optimal energetic arrangement of the distillation & rectification plant, in order to minimize capital and operating cost. Some of the options we apply:
  • Multiple effect arrangement (ME)
  • Thermal vapor recompression (TVR)
  • Mechanical vapor recompression (MVR)
  • Use of waste heat (e.g. waste steam, hot water, etc.)
  • Combination of several techniques
